iPhones were chosen as the initial platform for NowPatient Diabetes because of the inbuilt capabilities and security of the iPhone and iOS, and because of the smaller number of devices and versions to support.
Android has a number of leading phone manufacturers and a much wider breadth of live Android versions, and for a company of our size, we couldn't afford to develop experimental features for both platforms simultaneously.
Even though we have launched, we still have a number of features to develop for our existing app. We also need to grow as a company to tackle Android but we've got plans to develop and release an Android version of NowPatient Diabetes as soon as is feasible for the team.
